Fresh Start 2015

WELCOME CLASS OF 2019

Fresh Start runs August 11-12-13 from 9:00 am to Noon.

Fresh Start is a 3 day orientation to Winnacunnet High School for all members of the Class of 2019.

The focus of Fresh Start will be:

  • Establishing connections with staff members, classmates, and upperclassmen.
  • Learning your way around Winnacunnet so you know where your classes will be.
  • Understanding the day-to-day life at WHS by participating in a tour of the school and its resources.
  • Making a positive academic and social transition from 8th grade to high school.
  • Developing a sense of pride and belonging in your new school.

At WHS Fresh Start, you will be:

  • Scavenging items to learn the layout of the school.
  • Challenged by problem solving games and initiatives.
  • Exploring your creativity through a hands-on project.
  • Introduced to the various programs and extracurricular activities available to you.
  • Meeting former Fresh Start alumni volunteers who want to share the excitement of the program with you.

Fresh Start is open to all students planning to attend Winnacunnet High School this coming fall. The atmosphere will be like a summer camp, so dress comfortably to be ready for activities. A nutritional snack will be provided. To get the full benefit of the program, plan to be here each day promptly by 9:00 a.m. for a full morning of experiences.

There is no cost for the program. Bus transportation will be provided and the bus schedule listing central pick-up and drop-off stops will be available in your local newspaper, at the main office at WHS, and at your sending school. Applications will be available at your sending school and here.
