General Announcements

JAZZ BAND AUDITIONS: Auditions for the 2017-2018 WHS Jazz Band will take place on Wednesday, March 29th and Thursday, March 30 after school. See Mr. Martin in A106 for audition material and to sign up for an audition time. We are looking saxophone, trombone, trumpet, piano, guitar, bass players and drummers. You must be enrolled in Band in order to participate in Jazz Band.

Attention Seniors: Mr. WHS is back! We are looking for seniors to compete in this year's Mr. WHS competition to be held on Thursday, April 6th. Interested contestants should attend an informational meeting directly after school in Mrs. Borden's room on Tuesday, March 21st.

IMPORTANT! Any student who took the FinLit 300 test and would like to be part of the team that goes to the state championship match on April 11th, please see Mrs. Arsenault no later than Tuesday, March 21st.

Greetings Warriors: As some of you may know the Class of 2017 is selling Krispy Kreme Donuts by the dozen for $12 per box. There is only 5 days left get to get your donuts. Reach out to a senior, class officer, or Mr. Connolly who can be found in room E101 to order. We accept either cash or a check for the donuts. If you order some the pick up day is in the cafeteria on March 25th from 9-11 am. Order some while you still can!


Clubs & Activities

The Cycling Club is changing Thursday's training ride to a meeting due to the forecast. We will look at some maintenance and repairs and formalize the race/training calendar for the spring. Please see Mr. Phillips in room C-216 with any questions.

Chamber Singers auditions will take place after school on Thursday, March 23 in the Chorus Room. See Mr. Moore for audition materials.

Mindful Monday Club: Calling all students and athletes who want to better themselves in the classroom and on the field! Are you a student who gets anxiety before a test? Want to learn ‘Tom Brady’ ways of staying calm on the field? Do you feel yourself unable to perform well on some tasks at hand? College bound and preparing for SATs?

The Ukulele Club meeting will take place on Monday after school in room B204 until 3:15. A ukulele is not needed but is encouraged!

Community Service Opportunities

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to get community service hours!!

The Hampton PTA is looking for student volunteers for the Daughter's Choice Dance, which is on Saturday, April 8th. They need help at both dances - 4:30-6:30, 7-9 (you can volunteer for both or just one) and then help cleaning up in between each dance. They will also have pizza and goodies for your kind efforts. Class Information

Class of 2017 - Seniors

Attention Seniors: Mr. WHS is back! We are looking for seniors to compete in this year's Mr. WHS competition to be held on Thursday, April 6th. Interested contestants should attend an informational meeting directly after school in Mrs. Borden's room on Tuesday, March 21st.

Attention Seniors: The artistic design contest for 2017 Chem Free T-Shirt has begun. $100.00 for the winning design**Open to All Seniors**. Contest Details:
1. Submission deadline March 24 (multiple designs may be submitted.
2. Black ink lettering & design on white 8.5” x 11” paper
3. Must include “2017 Chem Free”
4. Design entries must be submitted to Mrs. Edgar in art room A122.
The winning design will be selected by majority vote at the April 2017 Chem Free parent committee meeting.


Class of 2018 - Juniors


Class of 2019 - Sophomores

ATTENTION ALL SOPHOMORES: RYLA is a 4 day outdoor leadership conference to take place Sunday, June 25-ending on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Camp Hinds in Raymond, Maine. The conference is open to high school sophomores who have exhibited leadership in the home, school, and community. The purpose of the conference is to introduce students to thoughts, ideas, and experiences which, if put into practice, will help develop and enhance leadership skills. The program is an outdoor living and leadership experience. It includes a high ropes course, compass challenge, canoeing, water sports, and a variety of physical initiatives and mental activities. The cost of the conference is paid by the sponsoring Hampton Rotary Club. There is no cost to the student. Applications are available in the Student Activities office (Rm. B101) or they can see their guidance counselor. The applications must be returned to the Student Activities office (Rm. B101) no later than Friday, April 7th.
